Application Compatibility Logging
By default, IE7 does not enable compatibility logging. This feature can be turned on either via registry key or by using group policy. Set the following registry key to turn on the logging for the current user.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Windows
Internet Explorer
Main
FeatureControl
Feature_Enable_Compat_Logging
iexplore.exe = (DWORD) 1
Once this feature is turn on an icon will appear in the status bar.
Note that if the security features blocks certain content, the information about the security feature and the blocked content should be log in the Windows Event Log.
